Micro-channeling IS that Girl

"Why?" You may ask. Well for starters it is the ultimate collagen creator/producer that is minimally invasive compared to other treatments out there.

Second, just like in fashion, aesthetic treatments come & go but micro-channeling has withstood the test of time for decades now!

Third, this treatment is nearly all encompassing & can treat all skin tones from the fairest to the deepest skin & can be done on nearly all skin conditions (fine lines & wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars). Recent studies have even documented evidence that micro-channeling can be done on active acne (the introduction of oxygen to acne blemishes actually helps kill the anaerobic acne bacteria leading to faster clearing of the acne itself.)

So what's the goal?

Creating the micro-channels in the skin not only stimulates the growth of vital skin components, but also allows topical products to penetrate more effectively. Similar to aerating a lawn, whereby puncturing holes in the ground provides pathways for fertilizer to enter.

The goal is to create a wound response, not a wound. By creating this wound response in the skin, the goal is to thicken the skin. This is why it is an excellent treatment for overall skin rejuvenation to create & thicken our collagen reserves as our collagen production is already slowed down by the age of 25. Maintenance should look like a series of 3 once a year. More sessions are required to address deeper lines, older scars & stretch marks (more like 6-9 initial sessions before moving into the maintenance schedule).

Too aggressive, too soon?

Many clients & providers think that the more aggressive the treatment, the better the result. This is not the case. There most definitely is a time & place for stronger treatments. However with stronger treatments comes more inflammation, and more inflammation only leads to faster aging because inflammation slows down healing. A superficial treatment can provide great benefits without unnecessary risks.
